Most of us know that there are so few PS One titles on the North American PS Store and we're all wondering when the next wave of PS One games would be coming. While this isn't particularly a 'wave' per se (insert Hadouken jokes here), it is quite a powerful title with a lot of influence in the fighting-genre arena. We're talking about
Street Fighter Alpha -- the first one. It was a title that prequeled the main
Street Fighter series, fleshing out some of the world warriors' back stories.
If you missed it back in the day, then your chance to give the classic a try is coming. This Thursday, during the weekly scheduled PS Store update,
Street Fighter Alpha will be available for download onto your PSP or your PS3. Capcom hasn't officially revealed the price yet, but we imagine it shouldn't be much different from other PS One classics.

Also, wow at the ingrates on the capcom-unity and gamefaqs sites. Certainly left a sour taste in my mouth.

Wow, Ken sure has a ''sweet'' pony tail. i never really noticed it before. but why even buy this game? there is alpha 3 for psp and you could just buy Alpha 3 for PSX off eBay if you want to play it on a TV so bad

Besides. . . with SFA3, POWERSTONE, and even DARKSTALKERS already on PSP, this is a wasteful step backward.

I get what your saying, but I want extra games on my Memory Stick! I fly about 2-4 times a week, so sitting on a plane with my PSP is a god send, especially since they removed every TV screen from just about every damn airline.
My point is... I want the SF Alpha Max psp game, but I would most likely not ever put it in the UMD drive, but... if its just sitting on my memory stick, then I can just start it up whenever I want.
