Why are so many PSPs being stolen? It seems commonplace to read stories of PSP systems being stolen from hapless individuals. This time, a sick child waiting for a heart transplant had his PSP stolen. Dominic Villanueba (pictured, right) is accused of stealing Juan Martinez's PSP by tricking the boy into handing over the PSP to him by asking how the game worked. Thankfully, the culprit was caught.Although by the time Villanueba was caught, the system had been displaced. Thankfully, the story has a cheerful end: the sheriffs of Adams County pooled some money together and bought the child a replacement system. "He's just a little kid. I don't like bullies," Robbins said. "That's what it seemed like to me, one older kid picking on a little kid ... We couldn't let the bad guys win."

That explains why PSP sales are always higher then the DS. They should add an online authentication system that locks PSPs and GPSs its location if reported stolen. Or provide a free dagger as a pack-in with each console.

wtf is wrong with you not onty was the poor kid getting an organ transplant but he got his psp stolen maybe the poor kid spent a years allowance on the thing and his parents couldnt afford another and you have the audacity to call him an ass for accepting the kind gesture of the police force? pardon me but the only ass here is you

Such a sad thing. Stealing from a little kid is one thing, but a kid getting a heart transplant,that's just foul. I bet you that, that kid needs that enjoy more than the guy that stole it.

IMO, locking up wont solve anything, more like, better educated so they will never steal again, too bad it wont go through their thick rogue skulls...
