We've seen Dante sit proudly atop many things; piles of enemies, thrones and building tops, to name a few. Now we can add "Capcom release calanders" to that list, as Devil May Cry for PSP is currently resting at the top of Capcom Japan's recent and future games list. Sure, there's no release date attached and the game was discussed by Capcom way back in June 2005, but we heard a rumor only last September that the game will definitely release at some point.
We're not in the habit of believing every rumor that's thrown at us, so we'll be waiting for E3 to see if anything is mentioned there. The PSP could definitely do with a few new games to flesh out its 2008 release schedule and Devil May Cry would be a perfect fit.

If this game ends being for real, I hope it's a new game. We know it wouldn't be DMC 5, so maybe it could be a side story or another prequel. If they did another prequel with Dante and Vergil, that would be sweet...although make little sense story wise. Anywhoo, DMC + PSP = WIN!

Well finally Capcom ... I think the success of MHP2G finally made them realize what a money-fountain the PSP can really be :D Man I hope this is true :D

Seeing God of War work out on the PSP, I can imagine Devil May Cry being just as amazing. It could work out, but I know nothing of Capcom's plans for the first DMC game on the PSP. This could go either way. I'll wait for the announcement.

If it comes out this year or next year sounds good.

Well, it'd be great, but I won't even consider the news as such until Capcom confirms it.

A port of the original with some added details, 'bonus/extra content' a must, and a twist of lime would be delicious.
Yes, I'll have that.

"calander"? With a typo found in every other post I've checked, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that so many comments are able to dip so far into the typo range.
Is that thinking too harsh of the site-runners?

I hate to burst your bubble, but DMC:PSP has been at the top of that future games release list for about two years now.
