To be honest, we have no idea how
Yggdra Union must've played back on the Game Boy Advance. The upcoming enhanced PSP remake features so much visual information on the screen that we can't imagine how cluttered the interface must've been on the GBA screen.
Yggdra Union is proud to take advantage of PSP's widescreen aspect ratio. But we have to admit, after looking at these screens, we feel like we may be overwhelmed by even the most basic battles.

I actually couldn't play it on the GBA (last GBA game I bought before getting a PSP), because everything was so small.

Just for reference, this game is complex in terms of card strategy and positioning on the strategic map... However, once you get into a *battle*, it is very simple and clean ( and was on the GBA as well ). All the info on the battle screen seems confusing, but it is actually very intuitive.

This looks so much better than the Riviera port that it's not even funny. Thank you for actually REDRAWING the sprites this time, Sting!

Amen to that, mate. Riviera would've been great if they just had updated the character sprites. Those blurry messes turned me off big time.
Yggdra: Looking great!

I so hope this is good I bought Riviera and liked it but it could have been better. Plus I think this time I am going to have to preorder Yggdra Union because I had to go to over ten different Gamestop stores to find Riviera and when I found it. That was the only one there. Also how do you say the game and when does this game come out?

I for one am buying this game since I loved Riviera and anything Atlus develops or publishes is always brilliant. Most of the time ;) How do you pronounce the title is it like Eeggdra Union or Iggdra? or am I way off? lol.

It's games like this that are the reason I bought a PSP.

Riviera didn't hold my attention too long. I played for 10 hours and then stopped playing. The level-up system is flawed in that you just go practice with new weapons to level up. So it seemed like cheating to me, cause you never lose in practice, and you can practice infinitely. Also, the script was pretty cheesy and childish. The recurrent chests and traps were nothing related to Role-playing.
But overall, it's a polished game. I think it would be more exciting to younger gamers (I'm 21). Hope Yggdra would be more challenging.
I'm currently playing Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground. It's a very unique RPG in that 'you' build your own dungeon to attract monsters and kill them to get money and items. The more complex the mazes are, the more diverse the monsters will be.
The official website is very informative:

Actually, the screen layout is about the same as the GBA. One thing it does have is that it looks a hell of a lot cleaner than the GBA version. The GBA version pushed the GBA to its limits, with a game size of 32MB, which is the largest I've ever seen for a GBA title.
Either way, this game was hard as balls on the GBA. Hopefully they didn't tone down anything for this. I really enjoyed the level of challenge I got from it. This is one of the reasons for me picking up a PSP soon.

I'm surprised this game wasn't to be released on the Nintendo DS

DS has enough stuff to choose from. It's OK they leave some games to PSP users :P

I liked Yggdra, but I got turned off as I struggled with very limited resources. Freaking -have to consume an item to heal-no automatic healing after battles-no stores to buy items from.
