Europe has had Go!Explore downloadable maps available on the PSN Store since the end of May, but a lot of countries in the region don't even have the hardware yet. Thankfully that looks like it'll be fixed soon as Play.com has the Go!Explore GPS receiver listed on their website with a July 18th release date. There's no telling just how reliable this date is, but we've emailed SCEE to find out.
The site also lists the product's price at £99.99, which seems a bit steep to us. Play.com seem to have tried their best at offering a discount, knocking it down from it's RRP of £104.99 by a massive £5. Ouch. Again, this info is unconfirmed. Should any new info come our way we'll be sure to forward it on to you.
[Thanks Stephen]

Thats relitively cheap when you think about it..
Saying that, i do live in England and am finaly happy that we are getting this. How long have the Asian countries had it? and look at their prices for it as well. And its a shame that our US brethrens could have to pay up to $200 for it. You may as well get a new PSP for that price...

$200 is about the same as £100, so it is the same price.

It boggles my mind as to why Sony hasn't released this thing yet. It's summer NOW, which is the perfect time to release it for people who are going to be doing traveling. Anyways, I won't be buying it if that price doesn't get reduced by alot when it hits Canada. I could buy a new psp with that money.

Let's see... £100 for the GPS & maps, or £40ish for the GPS reciver from fleabay and a quick download of the map UMD once it's "available". You're making this rather easy Sony. £50 odd and it was an instant purchase. £100, and what exactly does it feature over a £70 dedicated satnav you can pick up off any store shelf right now?

A) Sony have delayed this for far too long so I splashed out on a new phone with GPS built in. So that's one less purchase than they would have had! And even if I didn't, the price is ridiculous.
B) I submitted this story on Wednesday! D:

Got mine on Wednesday from Argos for £99. Full or repeat info in the Nearby Places section (had the same petrol station in my road listed 4 times), then told me the nearest car park was 4 miles away (I was standing in a car park at the time). The graphics are as good as Nav N Go make, so very 80s looking. Think I should have saved my cash.
