- [Internet Search] has been added as a feature under [Network].
- You can now change viewing speed during video playback by pressing the Up and Down buttons. Use this feature if you want to watch a video quickly, or if you want to slow down playback and listen to the dialogue carefully.

When I heard that it was just gonna be a websearch from XMB thing, I thought "yawn" too.
I mean it's great to see them continuing with improvements, years after it launched. And I do use the web browser with some frequency. But, that's it?
...
OK, after checking it out for myself, I'm a little more impressed. The search is a tad faster than doing a regular google search, and you can save the searches right on the XMB (which I really like).
I didn't realize it also included video playback tweaks... It's about freakin time! That's a feature I've been wanting for a long time.

This is the best they can do for an integer software update.
Give me a decent web browser. If the iPhone can do it, you can do it too.

If they're going to focus on the Internet capabilities, they need to add the ability to use the memory stick as virtual memory for browsing. Internal memory is just too limited to do any sort of decent web surfing. PS Store access without a PC middleman would have been nice too.
I'd also love to see Sony embrace something like Microsoft's XNA for homebrew apps and games. It's a shame to see such potential in this platform wasted.

Yay, more voting!
No! Bad update!
It's not that bad, I guess, but it's definitely not what I would expect of an X.00 update.
I think this should have been more like 3.99. If only Sony took an opinion poll on what people would actually want in the next update, then maybe they'll get more ideas. Have Sony given up? Probably :(
