It's not the PSP phone but ...
For us gamers, this phone does nothing to attract us. It's going to take something really big to tug us away from keeping our PSPs in our pants.

did you guys miss the wwdc08 keynote? The iPhone is set for the mobile games market more comfortably than this thing. A new player has entered the game.

Ok, so let me get this straight...
Sony is trying to turn their phone into a portable gaming device and then trying to turn their PSP into a phone.
...is it just me or am i missing something?

I am really waiting for a PSP-Phone that will accept SD cards (mini or micro) in addition to MS Pro Duos.
I also wonder when the PSP-2 will be announced, if it will be coming out?
But I'd love to have a PSP-Phone to have less things in my pocket!

The iPhone is quite ill designed for many (if not most) types of games. Unlike 'real' handheld game systems, it relies exclusively on motion and onscreen virtual buttons that are no substitute. Expect a long list of puzzle/slider games and not a lot of depth. Anyone with a jailbroken iPhone can tell you, emulators and 'traditional' games are not much fun on it.
That said, this phone pisses me off something fierce. It's an anemic device lacking a decent sized screen, first of all. Second, Sony has ignored the PSP here in the USA for the past year or more and yet here's this in a transparent effort capitalize on the hot mobile market - and into which they will no doubt pour a fair chunk of money, marketing and first and third party games. Resources they could (and should) be putting into the PSP and its USA market.
Doesn't that, as a PSP owner, piss YOU off? It should.

This piece of junk will never keep me from havin my PSP in my pocket 24/7. I take my psp EVERYWHERE. very convient device and even if it's not a phone the Messenger/Skype functions are pretty close to making it a phone. I can call my brother on the other side of the country through our psps. Granted i have to give him a phone call first to make sure he knows to be online but hey it's way cheaper than a hour phone call
