Yggdra Union likely coming to the States via Atlus
The reveal will happen on June 9th, so stay tuned to see if Spencer's sharp eyes are correct on this one. We're pretty certain that he is.

Eh. This is great news, but I'd rather hear something new like Kingdom of Paradise 2 or Rezel Cross. u_u

Hey, those two games look great. I'd love to hear any news about them too =(
But news of a localization of Yggdra would be sweet as well! :D

That's cool... does the new Yggdra bring anything more to the table then the GBA version did? I had almost completed the GBA version when the PSP distracted me.

Not to sound like the hopeless Atlus fanbuoy I am, but in my experience, the company localizes authentically but adds as many enhancements as they can: graphics, music, voice acting, etc. If there have been later revisions that include new levels and characters, they try to include those as well. Even when they don't (Persona 3), they tend to make good later (P3 FES).
Re Yggdra Union, I'd expect what was announced on the Atlus forums, since the main mod is also one of Atlus's devs:
"This one is the remake of the GBA version of the game! It has full voice acting, improved graphics and gameplay!"

P.S.: Home-skewed spelling deliberate despite the absence of any other jokes in the previous post. I'm just a fanbuoy floating blissfully on a mucous sea of hype. (Pass the brown nose, penguin.)

I hope the PSP version has bigger graphics. Yggdra was the last game I bought for the GBA, but the graphics were so small (like 70% the size of those in Advance Wars) I couldn't tell what was going on on the map.

Well the PSP's screen is bigger for starters, right? Graphics look pretty nice and sharp on this version of Yggdra, from what I've seen on the net so don't worry.
That's an improvement over the sprites on Riviera, which looked like crap =S

Go to this site, Jeremy, and look at the vid of a cut scene from the new version. Not to worry -- from what I've read on the Atlus forums and in RPGGamer, they've bumped up the graphics globally and not just in cut scenes (Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth) and improved the view overall during gameplay.
Even so, this is Yggdra Union! I'd buy it even if it were a straight-up port (which, as I said, it isn't).

Bringing to the states shouldent cost a whole lot , so IMO we should expect more and more similar games apearing outside of Japan ...
