GHSkinz, a company that specifically makes skins for Guitar Hero and Rock Band instruments is now opening up a line of skins for handheld systems. The PSP is included, but unfortunately has the most ridiculously expensive ones at $10.95 a pop. That's more than double the price that their Nintendo DS and iPod Touch lines go for.
That's not to say that their products are not any good; the designs are quite beautiful -- just have a look. It just makes us scratch our heads as to why the PSP gets screwed over with such a large bill. Anyway, that's expensive in our minds but ultimately that's up to you if you're willing to pay the price.

Damn those are sexy. Sure, $10.95 is a wee bit pricey, but the quality may be worth the money.

If my psp could be any single colour, it would probably be orange :)
I think Sony should give us the option to design our own skins. You would go into a Sony shop and give in your design for them to make and then come in the next day too receive it, all for a reasonable price. That way almost every psp will be original.

But you are getting a screen protector to , so 11$ is not much for this IMO ...

I'm not normally into skins, but some of these look pretty good. It's cool that you get a wallpaper image file that "continues" the image on your PSP screen.
Oddly enough, the DS skins don't mention screen protectors... maybe that's why they're cheaper?

Bwahahaha... $11 is "so pricey"? Have you seen the price of cellphone skins? My fiance paid $30 for one for her Sidekick.
Is $11 for this expensive compared to something else you could get for $11? Sure. But all skins are overpriced. It's just the way of that industry. Evidently there's enough demand for them that they can still profit at that pricepoint.
Personally, I like my PSP to be au-naturale (sp?), with a screen protector, of course (reminds me, it's about time to switch out to a new one).

Same. Especially since mine is a Star Wars Edition. $11 is really a bargain for a quality skin. Gelaskins are $20, and I thought those were cheap (in price, not in quality. My brother has one on his PSP, and it's great).

Nate can you or someone else recommend a good screen protector? And are they basically like plastic films that just go over the screen?

Invisible Shield brand screen protectors are good. I have them on my 2 PSPs, one of them 2 years old.

$11 is not pricey IMHO. I paid $20 at GelaSkins.com (which I love), and it lasts for years. Often I pay more just for LUNCH!

I find those skins distracting more than pretty. I prefer a plain color.

Do the skins for the other systems include the screen graphics? Not likely, so they are charging for programming as well as the skins. Steep? Perhaps. Too much? I don't think so.
