Sony hasn't officially announced a date besides 'june' Buy.com lists the end of june and they(buy & amazon) are the only ones doing pre-order that i can find.
People have speculated it'll be early or late june cause of MGS4. I want this too, but don't get your hopes up.

I feel like a shill, but if you want a PSP -- now's the time. That color can't be beat, and from what I hear the game's nothing to sneeze at, too. Yeah, it comes with one of the most awful movies ever, but you can always trade that in/resell it.
Here's crossing my fingers that sales of this pack will convince Sony that yes—people OUTSIDE of Japan WOULD enjoy the Slim in something other than the standard white-to-black range.

I was waiting for this up until two or three months ago. I ended up getting the daxter pack because 1) I have superbad 2) the daxter pack came with 1Gb 3) after seeing it for a long time the red started reminding me of nail polish or red lipstick, which in turn reminds me of my grandmother. I can't be expected to fight Sephiroth or take on giant mythological beasts while reminiscing of my grandmother's apartment which smelled of potpourri and what i can only assume is the rancid smell of death crawling ever closer to the now listless decrepit body of an elderly woman.

Same here...I couldn't wait any longer. I ended up getting a black core. Then bought an 8GB stick on eBay....plus the protective case that Sony no longer packs in with the system.
No regrets. Although, the refresh on the screen could be better. What's up with that? It's not terrible, but I think the DS has a better refresh rate. Plus this is the 2G model.

It's a little sad that an "entertainment pack" is going to require purchasing a USB cable and a memory stick before you can even access the content in the pack. But I can't complain too much, the PSP and game cost more than this.

I got the Daxter pack as a wedding gift (so I could play games on my honeymoon, ha). I'm sure GoW is the better game but I like the silver color and I ended up picking Superbad up anyway to watch on the plane.

Gamestop taking pre-orders now too- wasn't a few weeks back. Don't know of any GameCrazy nearby- though apparently there are. Gamestop on every corner practically though. Considered the Daxter bundle but can get that game for $20 or less now and the red looks sweet. Besides, will be getting 4+ GB card sooner after 1 GB would only annoy..
