More of these PS1 games need to be free or nearly free. I'm not paying 5 or 6 or 10 bucks to play a game that was released 15 years ago (with one or two notable exceptions). I'd like to see a couple freebies and a couple $1.99 games every Thursday. Every Thursday. There's just no excuse. The library is huge, and the PS3 is already inherently compatible. Hell, if Sony put FF7 up for download on the PS3 for free, I guarantee you'd see PS3 sales spike through the roof. Even if they had to pay Square Enix $20 a copy, it would be well worth it. You wouldn't be able to keep PS3s on the shelf.

They need to just allow people to rip the games they already own and put them on their PSP. Seriously, if they could allow people to do that with the next update, I guarantee that they'll be able to cut the use of CFW.

Even if Japan does have.. like 10x the amount of titles on their PSN doesnt mean they have anything better. The unfortunate part about "Classics" is that they seem to only be able to release first party title. Of course if you really think about it, you'll come to the same reasoning I have.
First party titles were absolutely HORRIBLE on PS1. It wasnt until Square-Enix came along with FFVII that anyone even looked at the system. Then it got some good third party support.
First party titles didnt give anything worth while until PS2 with things like SOCOM, Jak & Daxter and God of War.
If they ever expect to make any kind of money on Classics, they're going to have to realize that ONLY third party titles are acceptable.

koehler83: You are mistaken! Many Sony first-party titles on the PS1 were absolutely fantastic -- like the PopoloCrois games (PoPoLoCrois Monogatari, PoPoRogue, and PoPoLoCrois Monogatari II, all available in the Japanese PlayStation Store), which are still some of the best RPGs I've ever played (don't let the PSP "remake" give you the wrong impression - the PSP version was crap, with the originals being far, FAR superior games in every conceivable way!).
I've also discovered quite a few excellent titles by randomly purchasing games that sounded cool from PSN - titles like Chippoke Ralph no Daibouken (The Adventure of Little Ralph), Robin Lloyd no Bouken (The Adventures of Robin Lloyd), and yes, Addie no Okurimono (Addie's Present) - the latter of which was a HUGE surprise, as it turned out to be one of the best games I've played in a long time, AND it's first-party Sony! I highly recommend anyone who enjoys Professor Layton on the DS to pick up Addie's Present, as it's very similar, only IMHO *much better*.
Oh, and as for the other two:
- Little Ralph is a Ghosts & Goblins-like 2D side-scrolling platformer, and an exceptionally good one.
- Robin Lloyd is a Gust game (!) in which a young detective must journey to various locales to solve crazy over-the-top kidnapping/extortion mysteries. It's sort of an action RPG, and sort of a sleuthing game... very unusual for Gust, and very fun!
