Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep still looks good in new scan
Birth by Sleep, the upcoming PSP-exclusive prequel to Kingdom Hearts looks incredible. The game features PS2-quality graphics, as seen in a new scan from Famitsu. Of all the recently revealed Kingdom Hearts games, this looks to play most like the original. We even see Donald and Goofy in these images. How will they integrate into this new game? New details on Birth by Sleep will be hard to come by, but if we find anything more, you'll be sure to find it here.

I can't wait for this game. I'm a little concerned that it might not make the US in 2008 (see how long it's taking Crisis Core to reach NA).
I just hope these "spin-offs" from the PS2 versions don't delay development of KH3 for PS3 for more than a year or two...

Well I wouldn't expect KH3 to hit anytime before Fall '09 so I think we don't have to worry about that.
And this game is apparently going to be released later than the other portable KH games so I wouldn't expect this until '09 either.
So much waiting......but it's still totally worth it in the end.

the kingdom hearts team is putting most of their resources into making FFvsXIII. I doubt that they'll even start making KH3 until it's finished.

why oh why bring back the card system from Chains(albeit slightly modified)?? The format in KH1 and 2 is perfectly fine, why bring back the format from the DS game??

Chains is a GBA game.. And I was reading through the whole article, it doesn't mention any card system.. I may have missed it, but I don't think so..
And I don't think any of the three games are close to the PS2 games. I personally think the DS version is the closest gameplay-wise, with even ONE more possible ally than the PS2 versions.
Of course the PSP version's closest in terms of graphics.
I'm a Kingdom Hearts fan more than anything else, so I'm only siding what's most true IMO to the PS2 Kingdom Hearts series..

Nomura has said that this game will have similar gameplay to Re:Chain of Memories, in that a deck of cards will be used.
Personally, I'm looking forward to this game the most. It just looks like it's going to be the best out of the trio, in terms of gamplay, story, and obviously in graphics(straight ps2 quality :)) as well.

he didn't say that. He said that the gameplay will be similar the KH2 but also that some sort of deck system will be used.

IMO the PSP version will be the most evolved one , what is expected because it works on a much more powerfull hardware . Still the DS version looks fun to , but BBS is for me people :)

@ Dreadhead
"Nomura says that of the three newly announced titles, the PSP game is the closest to previous titles in the series and will offer the feeling of action for which the series is known. However, in a separate interview, he also noted that the game will actually be close to the Re: Chain of Memories battle system, with your commands appearing in the form of a deck.
