Unfortunately, the headphones that came with PSP-1000 are not compatible with the newer models. Without a compatible remote, PSP users will find themselves unable to use other accessories, like the PSP headset.

1. I thought they settled that PSP Store Updates would be bi-weekly? In that MTV blog interview?
2. I officially hate myself, bc I bought this in Chinatown for 30 bucks. DX

You can put headphones in the washer and they'll be like new. Well, if you do it too often and/or too hot, the cable will get curly. I'm speaking out of experience as you might notice :-)

Don't get the crappy earbuds, instead get some earphones. Your ears we'll thank you for not causing them unnecessary pain.

Note: I had to edit this post in order to emphasize that these headphones are necessary to use other PSP accessories, like the headset.

Talk about timing. I recently snatched up these headphones for the PSP-2000 two days ago from Best Buy. They retail for $29.99 but I had some Rewards Zone coupons that cut the price down to what Amazon is selling them for.
These headphones are nice because it comes with the remote control that optionally attaches to the headphones.
"Official PSP 2000 headphones have gotten listed..." Have gotten listed? Ha ha ha.

The problem with the new remote is that it causes buzzing in whatever headphones you connect to it, official brand or otherwise.
It's very faint, but it's still annoying.
