Man, we remember this ad campaign from the PSP's launch, nearly three years ago. A new ad has been created, to highlight the incredible things that PSP can do now. A few years into the life cycle, PSP can do things it couldn't possibly dream to do at launch. Now, it can connect to the PS3, get free wi-fi from T-Mobile hotspots, and more. Check out this stylish and well-crafted ad.

I love how the girl is still looking at the psp screen even though its being output to the TV. I admittedly do not use most of the features on my PSP, but it's still a great little machine.

wait a sec... parts of that ad are old, right?
Like the dude with the 'fro and the chick trading memory sticks (if that's what you kids call it these days).
Either that, or a major case of deja vu...

Yes you can download recorded TV shows to your PSP, if you have TivoToGo. The PSP is one of the supported devices available for transfer.

God, do people these days think that's good music? I had to turn it off so I could get through the entire ad.
Which, by the way, feels painfully stretched, like they're trying to emphasize things incorrectly, somehow. Why say you can only go online at a T-MOBILE hotspot and deny the possibilities with your own home router or the myriad free WiFi areas? You don't see Nintendo pigeonholing their DS wireless by stipulating ONLY AT MCDONALDS!
Anyway, if you ask me, they need to be showing the GAMES first and foremost. Quit screwing around! Bust out full screen scenes from JEANNE, SILENT HILL, GOD OF WAR, FINAL FANTASY and THEN give a few seconds for UMD vids, TV output and WiFi hopping.
With this ad, you can barely see the games - it looks more like a frigging GAP ad with all the college age kids and the oh-so-hip urban settings. Whatever.
Sony gets a solid F in marketing the PSP.
