Minna no Golf Portable 2 sounds like it's adding a ton to the series, including 16 player (!) infrastructure support, 20 characters, 12 courses and a massive host of customization options for your avatar. While it's unlikely that this title will propel the PSP to the top of the weekly hardware sales chart, Japan loves themselves some Hot Shots Golf so it will most certainly sell a crap load of PSPs. No word on an American release yet, but you can pretty safely assume a spring 2008 release over here.

This is great news! I hope they don't change the gameplay AT ALL -- it's perfect the way it is. All they need to do to make it a great game like the first is to add more stuff and an infrastructure multiplayer mode. From the sound of it, that is exactly what they're going to do. Sweet.

Nice. Can't wait for this one. I got the first one way back at PSP launch and I still play it from time-to-time. I agree with gotsomeideas that they don't need to change much; add characters, outfits, courses, infrastructure and I'll buy it.

Oh my, that's sweet news indeed! I absolutely LOVE the first one, but it had too little content compared to the PS2 entries. I hope it keeps the original anime-style graphics, as well! I hate the american models.

I really need to get the new PSP this winter. It will be awesome if more PS3 games support PSP usage and I can play remotely.
