Online petitions rarely get the attention of the publishers that they're targeting. Not in this case, however. The official call for a Resident Evil PSP game has earned the attention of Capcom. In an e-mail sent to the petition creator, a Capcom representative made note that for real results to be seen, 10,000 signatures would be needed: "As we plan for future games the team will definitely consider the fans and specifically your petition. It does have impact. Keep me updated on the number of signatures. If you get over 10,000 that will draw significant attention."
When we found out that Capcom was taking notice, we had to sign the petition. If you ignored the first call for signatures, make sure you take action now: a Resident Evil game may grace our handheld -- and who wouldn't want that?

10,000 sounds reasonable... until you notice it's only got 1749 so far. I don't think this petition is going anywhere.

Hmmm, we got a quite a way to go. :(
Hopefully the great(here's hoping) sales from Silent Hill: Orgins - will motivate Capcom to make this game. How many horror-survial games are on psp?
Speaking of Capcom - where's that supposed Devil May Cry game for psp? Please don't tell me we we're going to petetion for that too.*sigh* I would rather have an orginal DMC game for psp anways - than an RE game.

lol, the petition doesn't matter, there's obviously one in the works already. This is a clever marketing ploy, they use the petition someone made, to get news sites and blogs to talk about it and people are more likely to buy the game if the sign the petition to get it

I signed saying that the DS got one, why can't we a long time ago.
We should make up fake names to get a lot of signatures.

I think the point of this is: it's a POSITIVE petition, meant to prove that people would buy a game coming out on a system where it's not represented yet.
Positive, in contrast to that childish DMC4 petition.

Signed. This series holds a special place in my heart from the very first game on the PS1. We're getting our super sweet God of War and Silent Hill originals; this could complete the triforce of Pure Awesomeness.

We should be making a petition for GTA San Andreas Stories, I mean I don't care if it's split up into 3 parts and you have to fork out the money for each one I just wanna play that so bad.

You would think what with the success Monster Hunter had on the PSP, Capcom would try to duplicate the magic with their other properties. So this may just be a gimmick, one is already in the works.
Still, doesn't hurt, I guess. Might sell in Japan, anyway.
