i actually like these PSP commercials. the batroom one was funny kinda. but why did they always place it face down on thier jeans and shit. that annoyed me. and the belt buckle one was kinda gay literally. but these commercials arent that bad.

I still think they are selling to the converted, PSP owners will find it amusing because we KNOW this is what happens (to a point).
There is nothing in these ads to convince Soccer Mom to drop the extra $ on a PSP vs a DS.
And I thought they were going for the slightly younger demographic with the new campaign but I can't see how a 12 year old would have any interest in a commecial featuring two adults on a plane. If you want the young teen demo you need to feature the games and music of a PSP. But thats just me.

I have a revolutionary idea for a commercial that'll shift more PSP's - actually SHOW WHAT THE MACHINE CAN DO!!! Great sound and graphics, good quality movie playback, internet browsing - we don't even see the screen in any of these commercials. I know they're meant to be cool, but so was the 'all I want for Christmas' 'blog.
Sony, show what the PSP can actually do!! And it's okay, you can have my amazing idea for free.

I don't see why Sony can't have a series of ads. This one for the older crowd and another for the younger crowd. And a third series targeting a different demographic.
These are light years better than the fake PSA ads they had before.
And hyping the price is lower will probably encourage people to take another (or maybe their first) look at the system.
But, I still contend, all Sony needs to do is add a tag line after these and that would clear it up.
"Games, Movies, Music, Photos, Internet. Sony PSP"

I think this series of ad. is awesome. It was good when I saw the 1st one previously but its awesome when I see all of the series.
We all know what's a PSP can do and for those that don't they probably don't have any interest in this kinda stuff. And in my country, majority of PSP owners are 20-30. So I think this series of ads just hit the spot right on!

I still contend Sony are making a mistake selling the PSP as a lifestyle device. If they want to shift the thing off the shelves they need to highlight some of the games in these ads - Sony say they're going for a younger demographic now, and it's hardly hurt DS sales that Nintendo have marketed the DS by promoting its main purpose - a games machine.

The ads are really funny, and are better than any of the psp's previous ads. These new commercials are better than the dustballs. Sony needs to make more and keep the psp advertising going. Also show all the sweet things it can do.

oh yeah.. by the way. this should be here but i'm just wondering. can sony make a controller like the wii one and put it to their ps2? i'm asking cause I just thought that this can help a little bit with the battle between sony and nintendo. and in the same time they can revive their ps2 as well. killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
sorry if u think that my idea is stupid...

Your idea isnt stupid...just i hope sony would not do this...
But i actualy asked this question to a french forum of nintendoboys :
If sony had release a ps2.5 with a PSMOTE, and the same directions that nintendo takes, would you bash it, or just buy it without a doubt, because the concept is king, and graphics dont count...
The answer:...None, nada, niet....nothing, the big enpty
I asked it all day long, and i got no answer except, go to hell sony boy...
It is just showing how nintendo pocess its crowd, and is king to market "stuffs" to the mass ( who said virtuaboy )
Please sony, stick with your hardcore image, and be faithfull in your target, it will pay...after all the psp sold 25 millions without a big cut...what will be the future with the hot release and the cut...and the fun ads.
It might not talk to the mass, but it will talk to the gamers...at least the non fanboys. And this target sported 115 millions of ps2....so there is plenty of potential

These adds are friggin hilarious! The dude with the lines is pretty funny, but the facial expressions on that guy with the PSP crack me up more than anything else. He looks so pissed. Dude...I'm always looking on at my brother's PSP and I think this convinced my mom to buy me my own!

The straight guy is the best since Abbot and Costello. His face says it all. It reflects how we all feel about annoying man. we've all been there. But it also tells you how addicting and great the PSP is. It is so good that if you don't have one, you will constantly be looking over the shoulders of those who do and longing for your own PSP. Cool ads.

These are probably the best PSP commercials so far. Funny and something we can all relate too. I know I can. My mom even liked the one on TV. Maybe now she'll buy me a new one!

I love the characters in these commercials, it's like a tv show. The guy who won't shutup is hilarious and I want the other guy to punch him in the face. If they make any more of these i hope that's what will happen. It would rock if all of a sudden the commercial turned into a PSP game and the PSP dude blew the other dudes head off (in his imagination ofcourse!lol :)
