A brand-new
SWAT is coming to PSP. And no, it's not a sequel to the
Colin Farrell movie with the same name.
Target Liberty is a brand-new PSP-exclusive extension of the popular PC tactical shooter. The series has been known for placing players in high-stakes situations, forcing players to take the least lethal approach possible. It appears
Target Liberty will give portable players an isometric view of the action. Will it maintain the series' strategic approach, or will it be heavier on the action, a la
Killzone: Liberation? Hopefully, we'll find out more in the coming weeks. Until then, check out these new screenshots, provided by
Jeuxvideo.fr.

Best news I've hard all day. I used to think Rainbow Six was the best FSP game around until I stumbled across SWAT 3.
SWAT is the best tactical shooter on the PC by far. Now that it will be available on the PSP in what looks close to the PC version means I will be first in line on release day.
If you haven't tried it on the PC (NOT the PS2 version), download the SWAT 4 demo and see how it out classes any of the Rainbow Six titles.

This game looks good, but I wish it was going to be a FPS like SWAT on the PC. Still this will deserve a looking into. I hope there will be a playable demo

Looks very killzone esque, as im sure everyone else has noticed.
To that guy that said he wishes it were a first person:
i think fps are a little tricky, but can be pulled of if the controls are nice and easy, similar to moh heroes, but when you have aspects of swat games put on a hand held with simple controls the actions and features of most swat fps' that usualy make them awesome would be quite tricky i would imagine.
Things like giving comands to swat team, several options for opening doors ect.
I think you will find third person shooters and birds eyes will be the way of the future psp shooters.

I love SWAT, came upon them at SWAT 4 (not for the weak-of-computer), so this has me really hopeful. Also, of course, I'm hoping for Infrastructure!

Reminds me of the Crusader-series. How great would it be to play No Remorse on the PSP?!

#8 - EXACTLY!!! I thought the same thing. I missed those games so much I actually downloaded some questionable software to convert my old computer back into a DOS box just so I could play those again. If this game follows the great gameplay that was in the Crusader games it might be the first game I ever pre-order through Gamestop.

Since my french isn't so good (okay, nonexistant) did anybody see anything about a possible release date?
If they've gotten this far with the development, does that mean a release is immenent (as in 2 or 3 quarter)?
