Deal of the Day: Rockstar gets really cheap

This week's circulars are highlighting the PSP price drop, and some fantastic deals on some great Rockstar games. The Warriors, which received a prestigious 8.5 review from PSP Fanboy, is getting even cheaper, dropping down to a mere $15 at Circuit City. Sure, it's a port--but it's a mighty fine game on the handheld.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is also entering the Best Buy bargain bin this week: it'll be available for a mere $20. Who said PSP games had to be expensive?

Great - so now we're citing bargain bin non-sellers as proof of competitive pricing? VCS was pretty good but obviously a disappointing seller because the price keeps dropping like a stone, and the bargain priced Warriors - which I really liked - evidently never took off at retail.

Perhaps an article like this is good for people like ME that just bought a PSP and am looking for good games at reasonable prices...finding out about the back catalog and which games are worth the $ even though they are in the discount bin is good for me!

Going out for Warriors this week then...

There should be a rule against opening comment downers. txa, you've over-analyzed this post. Andrew found a deal. He posted about it. Case closed. This post is precisely for people like Colin or psp owners that were on the fence with these games.

OK, fair enough - I let myself get irritable at the "Who said PSP games had to be expensive?" line rather than appreciating that these two excellent games are more affordable for people looking for some more solid PSP gaming.

But I blame Andrew for using that line in a context in which it didn't belong. ;)

I price-matched at Best Buy (CC only delivered, so no instant gratification from them) and came home to play. The game's great but I had forgotten how loud that damn UMD drive can be (Thank you Dark_Alex)
