No surprise here. After selling 700,000 copies in its first week in Japan, Monster Hunter's sequel is set to dominate the rest of the world. Or, at least Europe. According to a new press release from Capcom Europe, "Capcom plans to release this game as Monster Hunter Freedom 2 across PAL territories in September 2007."
[Update 1: The US press release states that the game is coming to the States in September as well.]

I think it is good news that it will be coming out for People in Europe. But no news on the US version might just be good news. May be the no news means that there is a chance the US version will get infrastructure.
At least I hope soon having infrastructure is a must it would help sell this game so much.

I could not agree more on the infrastructure support. I checked out the first one and felt as though I missed out on so much due to the lack of that feature. In essence a Europe version may as well be considered a US version. The only thing I can see it needing is a change in packaging. Many of the PSP games seem to have multiple languages these days. We shall see, but as long as it's released in Europe I'll probably get a copy.

It's about time. Surely it will be released in NA, but if it doesn't, I'll just import. :)

you're both so right!
i don't know what's on the minds of these developers because i'm almost positive that infrastructure could make this game the next great MMO!
anyone who has played MH knows that multiplayer for this game would be way, waayyy much more fun than not having it. not only that, i thought that the onlne multiplayer feature is what gave MH, for the PS2, its popularity. why in the world would they leave it out in the portable version?? Sad to say, if this game doesn't have online multiplayer, like it's predecessor for the PS2, i may just have to pass on getting it.. unlss i can find some dedicated MH buddies who are willing to play on their free time. but organizing these things can be tedious since you're counting on the availability of the players. that's why infrastructure would be such a great addition to the game.
PLEASE, CAPCOM, FIGURE SOMETHING OUT QUICK!!

Well if they weren't going to add anything then it would probably be out in May or June. Thier releasing it in September though. So I think they must be working on something in the game. And no, the Japanese version did not have infrastructure.

Infrastructure would be a big help, as you all say, but I've always relied on the XlinkKai program. Just set it up on a wireless broadband computer (which you pretty much need for infrastructure in the home anyway) and you can use AdHoc mode to take it online. Plenty of people use it, so it's not like there'd be a shortage of people to play the game with.
