Import game releases for the week 02/11/07

Another week, another week of import games to feature. For those not in the know, every week we profile the coming import games for that week. It's an interesting list this week, we have the Japanese version of Lumines 2 and multiple RPGs and an anime visual novel. Will you import any of these games? Check the list and let us know.

Continued after the jump ...

Rezel Cross

We've talked about Rezel Cross before, but it's finally coming out this week. This Chinese RPG features character designs by Eiji Kandeda (Aquarion) and is written by the team who wrote Arc the Lad III and IV. The game centers around individuals with the super natural power Rezel and those who would use it's power for evil. This is an RPG, so unless you know Chinese or are willing to go step by step with a walkthrough, you may want to wait to see if it comes out in English.

Tales of Destiny 2

Chances are, if you're an RPG gamer you've either played or heard of the Tales of Destiny series. This port has all Tales of Destiny 2 had regularly, but also exclusive PSP content. Of course the dialogue isn't in English, but if you've played Tales of Destiny 2 before and want to check out the new content, an import may be worth the cash. I'm sure there are plenty hardcore Tales fans who already have this gem pre-ordered. While you decide if you want to import this popular RPG, you can read our previous coverage.

I love the anime version of Kanon, it's a relationship based romp with lots of big eyed girls talking cutely. The Kanon PSP game is in the "visual novel" genre, so unless you know Japanese or are buying it for the art, it's unlikely this would make a good import. Just look for the fan subs of the anime instead.

Lumines II

I know what you're thinking, why would you want to buy Lumines 2 from Japan when you can get it here in the US? Well, quite simply, it has more songs. Since the strength of Lumines is its music, having more of it certainly makes this a worthy import. Plus, the text is mostly in English and a puzzle game is one of the easiet import types ever. If you don't have Lumines 2 yet, or are a big Lumines fan, this is the import game to get.

That's it for import games this week. I hope the addition of screenshots helps those that're considering importing. Check back with us next week for another batch of import games.
