Another
we told you so moment. Another firmware upgrade has been made available for your PSP, but don't expect to get much out of it. This will only fix bugs found in
R-TYPES, a PSone game downloadable only in Japan. The official word from Sony goes as follows: "Support for PLAYSTATION Network titles has been expanded."
Yay? Download it via Network Update.
[Thanks, Rueben!]

odds are dark alex is decrypting /has decrypted this already :p
we should expect a 3.11 OE any time soon :)
if only sony would add usefull updates like improving the web browser, allowing larger video sizes and the much anticipated psone games without the ps3.
At the rate sony is going, they are going to have a similar "patch Tuesday" like microsoft, or in this case "firmware Friday" :)

what's the point sony. really. what's the point.
More demos. and ps3-less retro(ps1) downloads.
otherwise, I don't want to see anymore useless updates.

Does anyone else think that this patch vs. decrypt race is actually hurting us gamers?
Sony is *never* going to support cracked firmware, especially since a major feature of it is the ability to play pirated games.
And while piracy is an issue with most every disc-based system, having a system known as a 'rampant piracy machine' is not exactly sexy to publishers.
So instead of new features and PSOne downloads, we get updated cracks battled with updated firmware ...

i cant believe you people that use homebrew can even call yourselves gamers. A true gamer wouldn't do that cause they will support there system and the games for there system. oh yes and actually having a job to pay for the games is needed. But you people keep telling your selves how much smarter you are than us and sony
cause you are playing pirated games and are able to cheat more. Instead of getting some real sense of accomplishment.

Personally, I feel like pirating is what's killing the system. Publishers stay far away from any platform that is easily hacked. That's why PC gaming has taken such a lonely backseat to console gaming. PC used to be the ultimate platform. Now.... I just assume Sony keep forcing new updates until pirates find a more interesting platform. I'd much rather have a constant flow of quality titles, and publishers tripping over one another to get their project on the PSP, than to have homebrew capabilities.

your right, homebrew is getting stuff free cause your just to damn lazy to support the game companies and buy the game, you guys sickin me with this homebrew, its a waste imo, and before all your homerew fanboys cry and bitch like the little kids you are....piracy on the psp is the same as downloading movies and songs on the pc, its just wrong...the collapse of the psp is do to alot of you homebrew users whether you think so or not..thanks for the downfall of the psp homebrew users..go get a ds fruit cakes

What is with sony at the moment? All they really care about is really about the £425 ps3!! They don't seem to be thinking about us psp owners, and giving us good updates, if your reading this sony GIVE US GOOD, WORTH WHILE UPDATES!
