For those of you willing to kill an hour of your life listening to my whiny, irritating voice can head over to
Tired Thumbs. I was invited to
speak rant on a variety of gaming topics, and you'll hear my (incorrect) answers to questions like:
- Which system has better wi-fi connections? The Wii or the PS3?
- Is World of Warcraft the work of Satan?
- Is Gears of War the best thing since peanut butter?
- Why do I hate Resistance?
- Why do you never, ever, keep a disc inside a PS3?
I may have also mentioned the PSP somewhere along the way. If you have nothing better to do with yourself on this lazy Sunday, you may want to check it out. by clicking the link below. Once you're done, feel free to flame me here.

confirmed :one of the worst podcasts... i tried listening a good 10 mins, but with bad transitions and no show setup i couldn't finish. 90mb is way too big - the 1UP podcast is only 36MB for 90 mins of show and they are more organized with their presentation. Listen to some other podcast and use some of their concepts to make your show better.

oh i listened to the podcast and got the answer to the disc question! andrew just gets annoyed by the auto load the ps3 has, you know like the psp had in the beginning, where leaving a disc inside means it automatically loads

All you have to do is hit the PS button on the controller at the PS3/orchestral bootup screen and it'll take you to the XMB instead of loading into the game.

Pressing the d-pad in any direction while the PS3 is turning on will stop the auto-load feature.

Can you just answer those questions here (or give us time markers)? I do not have time to spend listening to the whole thing.
At least answer the not leaving discs in ps3 question please.
Cheers!

I thought the PodCast was great. As for the file size, I guess what difference does it make? I mean if you are not paying for the bandwidth for it, why does it matter how big it is?
I really hope that Sony listens to allot of your constructive critisms....I think you are simply voicing allot of the concerns that all us are thinking.
Having to turn on the sound system after the PS3 has been moved off the games section of the menu bar kind of sucks.
And finally please, Please, PLEASE bring back rumble. Pay Immersion whatever they want. But bring back rumble.

What does it matter, you say? An audio podcast shouldn't be that big... it should probably only take up 1/3 to 1/4 of that size. it matter because that needs a huge chunk of space on the memory stick (I put these podcasts on my PSP) and like it's been said, it shouldn't be that big.
That said, the podcast was cool. Luckily Yoon mentioned the PSP right away, because I might've turned it off if there didn't look to be any PSP content. There wasn't a lot, but it was worth listening to anyway; Charlie seems to have a "blue-collar" approach to gaming, and that was contrasted by Yoon's preten--err... erudite style. ^_^
And even though the file size was huge, and there were a couple weird spots like when the female robo-voice inexplicably cut in... the sound quality was good.

For those of you that want a smaller size. Here is the download link to the file. It's about 29Mb, drastically smaller.

Hope that helps.
