That Dark_Alex kid is up to it again. His custom firmware currently cracks the protection that PSone games from the PlayStation Store utilize. However, it looks like the next revision, called 3.02 OE-B, will support the ripping of ISO files and turning them into EBOOT files to launch via XMB. This means almost any PSone game you own can be transferred to your PSP. You'll see Castlevania: Symphony of the Night at work in this YouTube demo. Amazing, isn't it? Hopefully, this will convince Sony to release their PlayStation Store games at a much less craptacular rate.
[Thanks, jamie!]

By "much less craptacular rate" do you mean the price? Are you saying that $6 for a PS1 game is too much? Compared to what MS and Nintendo are charging for Frogger and NES games, $6 is a steal for a PS1 game.

I personally think repaying for something you already bought is "too much". The law gives you the right to make one backup copy, permitted that you only use one copy at a time. So as long as you use your own games its legit.
My $0.02

I think the "craptacular rate" they're referring to is the rate, as in speed, of the releases. Let's face it, there aren't exactly any Must-Have titles being re-released. Wake me when Sony puts Chrono Cross or Tony Hawk up there... and when PS3s are affordable... or I'll just do this to my PSP.
