The Internet is filled with tons of awful, awful things. And the people of Something Awful make their living looking for the Internet's worst. They discovered a Sony-owned and operated blog called "all i want for xmas is a psp." While many PSP enthusiasts will agree with an idea like that, the blog is clearly corporate. Watch this video, found on the site, which features a suspiciously old looking white "teen" that performs a video so bad, it's not even funny. Do you think this kind of advertising would work... on anybody?

Sony's advertisements are either really lame or really, like, whoa, it makes you think about the advert...but this is definately one of Sony's. Sony would never show that the PSP face plate comes off because n00bs will be like..."OMFG PSP can change colours n shit!3' e/Q"

Jesus H. Christ, WTF is the matter with Sony lately? Don't get me wrong, I am a PSP owner and I love it, but every single Sony executive seriously needs to be punched in the balls.

it's this kind of thing that makes you wonder how Sony's still in business.

So if it was a black teen rapping about wanting a psp for christmas it would have been ok? Oh nevermind it's corporate BECAUSE the teen is white...I see.....

funny you focussed only on 'white' - i think the main problem is the 'suspiciously old.' either way, not the issue.
thing is, this is so freakin bad that it can't be an accident.

Oh come on, you guys never joked that so-and-so is 'so white' because they can't dance or keep rythm (or when you saw Vanilla Ice or Snow of "Informer" fame)? How many hundreds of movies and television shows have pulled that gag, having some dorky old white guy with a stick up his ass dress up in some lame facsimile of hip hop clothes (kind of like K-Fed). People all laugh and point at the screen "That dude is SO white! ha ha! LOSER!"
Its both common and completely harmless.

You shouldn't really blame Sony for this. Sure, they should be more careful with whom the hire, but the blame for this monstrosity is Zipatoni's. However, if Sony (or anyone else) ever hires Zipatoni again, ever, they need to be dragged out into the streets and shot. It would be an act of mercy.

avex was the name of the band for jeremy, which is actually his band so I heard. I went on their website myspace page myspace.com/avexband and they are not bad. Not anything of what I expected I guess they did this just for fun.
