Faint88, from the Playstation.com forums, took this picture from Sony's Comic-Con presentation, where they dropped the bomb on new PSP info. This screen shows the percentage of people that want certain features on the PSP. But, what do you, the informed PSP Fanboy reader, want from your system? Take this poll here: Of course, this isn't meant to be a scientific poll, and is intended just to gauge the interests of PSP Fanboy readers.

What I think would be very helpful would be to be able to store a few UMD games onto a large memory stick or hard drive so that the battery life would be longer and the games would load faster.
Now if I had to have the UMD in the drive to verify that I actually own the game but then the game ran off the memory stick or hard drive that would be acceptable to me.

Fabirice has it nailed. I would so love to not have to name files with that useless naming convention. Even the caps thing is an issue for certain OS's making it annoying to name files in all Caps. I would be so happy if I could just place the movies files on there with names like "My kid's violin performance.mp4" or "DONT let the wife see this one.Mp4" and be able to view them.

As much as Nintendo Fanboys will rant, I would really like it if the PSP came with a touch screen. Or a keyboard. It could be like the SideKick.

What're people on about with the HD? We already have 4GB Memory Sticks and the Datel 4HDD, anything bigger will hit battery life and require a bulky add-on.
What the PSP could really use is iTunes-like compatibility (there's already a site called GUBA with lots of preformatted iPOD and PSP content) and VIDEO OUT like the iPOD! It's a great function of the video 'pod that you can download a season of your favorite series and watch it on any TV or standard video monitor.
On second thought, how about a Nintendo fanboy filter function?

Isnt there already a 4GB Harddrive and video output for PSP? Anyway, with the new items coming out this fall, the PSP is going to take a giant leap forward in the game machine rankings.

After PSOne games, and built-in HD, I'd like GPS. It'd be a nice add-on without having to go out and buy the expensive stand alone units that are currently on the market.

I would say the ability to use wifi to set nearby DS Opera browsers to gamerankings.com where DS users can see that there are more highly ranked PSP games than DS games.
I have trouble believing that the ability to connect to the PS3 was a top one. Who even plans on getting a PS3?

The point you're missing is GPS, IMHO.

A decent way to type, like a Virtual QWERTY keyboard instead of the Dumb ass way you enter text now that makes web browsing or entering your WEP Wireless Key so Freakin Painful.

The greatest enhancement would be the ability to download and play iTunes and Videos from iTunes.

I think that Instant Messaging, Text Messaging, the PSOne Emulator, and a better game selection are needed for the PSP to continue being successful. Instant and Text Messaging are still very hot--especially texting. The PSP needs to get AIM on their speed dial. Furthermore, the PSP needs some further connectivity with MySpace (similar to what Helio is doing). The PSOne emulator will put the PSP over the top--it is sort of like the Xbox arcades because it will allow you to play games for an affordable price that are short and sweet.
And, they're going to need a keyboard attachment, and very soon--it only makes sense instead of using the cell phone-esque keyboard. Or voice recognition support.

My picks:
Open the UMD format, allow me to use mini-dvd discs, or use SD cards in the PSP. Ok fat chance of these.
Extensive Bluetooth support. I don't see how you're going to connect the PSP to the PS3 wirelessly without it, and using it wired... bleah. Ok so this means we'll have a PSP2.
IM/TM isn't a bad idea... at worst it would be a PSP implementation of pictochat, which really needs an add on kb or touch screen to be more useful. The camera support idea seems to me to be worthless... buy a real Sony camera which will be much better than any camera the PSP would be transformed into. I thought the built in HD idea seemed good until pixelator's post... 4 gig ram cards should be fine until bigger ram cards come out, and then you have to balance battery life with storage capacity.

I agree with h0mi. Real Bluetooth (data and A2DP) support would be nice. Then with a few software updates we could use bluetooth keyboards, bluetooth mice, bluetooth GPS devices, bluetooth stereo audio, etc. etc. the list goes on and on.
