OK, now you guys are just going off the deep end with the PSP bashing. So we get the Eyetoy, and it's 'ugly'. We're getting "eyetoy quality" pics & vid. What the hell do you expect? I think a thumb-sized cam with 5MP would cost a bit more than this market segment would allow.

PSP Fanboy can't praise the PSP even when Sony finally delivers. I don't have any use for this, personally, but I like the chrome metal look, and 1.3MP is no more than I'd expect out of an accessory cam for a handheld.

More 'we'll find something to bash about the PSP no matter what' from PSP hateboy.

Not that I think the PSP-Cam is a worthwhile attachment, nor do I dispute its ugliness, why is a blog writer for PSP Fanboy bashing the system? Isn't the whole point of this blog to promote and positively spin things surrounding the PSP?

I agree, for a writer for PSP Fanboy, you don't seem like such a PSP fan, boy. Everyones continual bashing of sony is getting on my nerves. Hey I don't like when they delay the ps3 yet again or set a high price or bring out a lot of simple ps2 ports for the psp or when they try to block homebrew with another firmware update, but I still love my psp. And stop complaining about the camera. Think how much stuff they have to fit in there for it to even be worthwhile and for the size of the PSPs screen, 1.3mp is going to look chuffing fantastic so maybe you should go back to writing the section in the school newspaper about how dogs start to look like their owners and get of Sonys back for doing something which a lot of people think is great.

I think that this could be a good thing. Think of it. You could finnaly make a good FPS on the PSP. Have the game track the up and down and side to side movement of the PSP-Cam to look around and use actuall buttons to move forward and strife, and to shoot.

If they want to say something bad, that's ther chice. and remmber, it's THIER opinion, and just that THIER. OPINION. if you have a different take on it, then fine. but dont take it personally.

As for me, I do think it could use a bit of work. I love my PSP and sony and all, but some things they do leave me sratching my head. like the rootkit, the PS2 and PS2's eytoy redesign, and this camera. it does look bad, but 1.3mp is something I have never had before, so I sould be lucky to mhave it in my PSP when I get it. it's just the design. I dont mind the colour, but the shape. it looks like a rounded barrel. but perhaps it was hard to get it to look THAT good, but I do think they should work on the design a bit more. and what is with that white plate? dont get the point of it, and it looks like it blocks the UMD drive. unless that's something there temorarally. maybe it'll be removed later.

I don't think the silver is bad, but it sure stands out, though it probably looks better with the black PSP than the white.

There's no need to bash on about this being a "anti-sony" article. I would guess that when most of You PSP Fanboys bought Your PSP's you looked on TWO things, namely; DESIGN and GAMES. You often talk about the PSP having such an awesome design, so why would it be so strange asking that the accessories should follow the same trend? Take a look at other consumer electronics and you'll see that design of the accessories follows the product (ex; iPod).

I own a white PSP btw, and I play it as much as the next guy.

You could at least spell THEIR correctly if you're going to make such an emphatic (if redundant) statement.

And yeah, PSP Fanboy bashes the PSP, and yeah, it's getting really old - and monotonous. I've said it plenty of times: It's currently in vogue to bash Sony. PS3 pricing, arrogant comments by Kutaragi, etc... But in the end, playing to the bias doesn't serve this site or anyone other than cater to the increasingly popular notion that your 'news' needs to be tainted with personal opinion and blather, ala Engadget/Joystiq/Etc.

I can see a bit of PSP sniping on a site like DS Fanboy, but here the dripping sarcasm and *CONSTANT* whining and bitching about *EVERYTHING* about the PSP is way out of proportion. I mean, think of it this way: What do XBOX 360 owners want? More & better games. What do DS owners want? More & better games. And I'll say this, if the PSP cam is really that ugly, it pales in comparison to the looks of the DS itself up until the release of the Lite...
