D'oh! This GameTrailers user has an easy way of increasing the volume of his PSP speakers ... with his bare hands! By placing his hands under the speakers, the sound waves bounce back up, instead of away from the listener. Wow! Simple science that gets great results. See it in action, and then try it for yourself.

Would you pay $376 for PSP speakers?

Tokyo Game Show is over, which means we'll have to start covering "real news." Ha! Let's kick the week off right by showcasing one of the biggest wastes of money I can think of for the system. The Gamexpert PSP Hi-Fi lets you "get the ultimate sound experience from your PSP... This powerful Hifi system houses a 23W RMS amplifier to pump out high quality audio and also incorporates a PSP docking station and remote for convenience."
Uh... somehow 23 watts is supposed to be awe-inspiring? The creators of this sound dock have forgotten that this system is meant to be portable: no way do I want to dock my PSP on this monstrosity of a speaker device to listen to music or, even more hilariously, watch a UMD movie from afar. Most of us normal people can use our computers or televisions to do that better if we didn't want a mobile experience. To add insult to injury, the company is charging a ridiculous $376 for the device (£199.99), making it one of the worst purchases I can think of for the PSP.

PSP speakers and stand for 50 big ones

As if the market wasn't saturated enough, peripheral maker Gamexpert thought it nonetheless appropriate that they offer up yet another stand and speaker combo for all us eager PSP fanboys and girls. Still, this offering has sleek looks and a remote control going for it, which probably means that this wannabe isn't all that bad. Who knows? We may grow to love this curious if initially unwarranted addition to the PSP peripheral fold.
