7. Balthier Bunansa -- Final Fantasy XII

Not too many Final Fantasy characters were ever given as many humorously sarcastic lines as Balthier, and it's here in his witty linguistic skills that makes him one of the most charismatic characters in any FF. Despite constantly proclaiming himself as "the leading man," he definitely was not -- even if he did steal the show. It's for this reason he makes the list, and ranks high coming in at #7. Again, like our #14 entry Fran, FFXII characters can use any weapon unlocked on their license board; however, we're keeping Balthier with his default gun. Playing as Balthier would probably not be too different from Yuna or Barret (whom both have also made this list), but we think his magic-based mist knacks would make him unique enough to be an interesting character to pick up and try.
