3. Gilgamesh -- Final Fantasy V
Since the Odin-crushing Seifer was at our #5 spot, it was only natural that we place this character at a higher position. FFVIII fans may remember Gilgamesh as that inter-dimensional traveler who capably one-upped the gunblade master at the end of disc three; however, old school FF followers would know that Gilgamesh originally appeared in Final Fantasy V. Later on, this eccentric sword collector would make additional cameos in FFXII as an optional boss, as a summon in FFVI Advance, and many others. He is the only recurring character in the series who retains his original appearance, unlike guys like Cid, Biggs, and Wedge. As a dimensional wanderer, does it not make sense for Gilgamesh to make a cameo in Dissidia? We think so. As a sword collector, Gilgamesh has everything from Cloud's buster sword to Squall's gunblade in his arsenal. Therefore, his fighting style will mimic these characters and their respective sword fighting techniques. We think it would be proper for him to have the ability to mimic every sword fighter in Dissidia; however, we'll only allow him to use four sword styles per battle at a time. Why the limit? The reason for this is that Gilgamesh has four arms, how can you use weapons beyond what you can carry? Come on, that's just common sense.
