17. Barret Wallace -- Final Fantasy VII

Barret is probably most remembered for his trash-talking abilities. It's a skill only matched in Final Fantasy by the equally dirty mouth of Cid Highwind. While both guys are in need of some Orbit gum, Barret's the one we've picked for our #17 spot. Now, Mr. Wallace's foul language isn't the only reason why we've picked him, he has a lot more at his disposal; one thing that makes Barret stand out and puts him on this list is his weapon of choice: a machine gun grafted to his arm. The interesting bit is that the gun can be replaced with more oddball choices ... like say a pair of scissors. Aside from being a ranged combatant, Barret could probably pull off grappling or brawling skills because, let's face it, the guy is big. For his most powerful move, who could deny the incredible amount of pain his "Catastrophe" limit break would inflict?
