2. Kain Highwind -- Final Fantasy IV

Kain Highwind was the best friend of Final Fantasy IV's main character Cecil Harvey. At the beginning of the game the two set off together, get separated by a freak earthquake, and eventually end up on opposite sides of a conflict for the world's crystals. Mind controlled by the sinister Golbez, Kain turned against his former comrade and nearly killed Cecil. It's here in Kain's internal struggle that we find empathy with the royal Baron Dragoon; bouts over friendship, honor, and love plagued his character and it's in watching him overcome these hurdles that he becomes one of the most beloved characters of all time. As a master Dragoon, Kain knows how to wield a spear. Powerful thrusts and lunges will keep his enemies at bay, but the best of his abilities is the Dragoon's lightning quick "jump" attack. To make good use of this awesome move, we would suspect that Kain would be an extremly agile character. He could very well be the quickest character out of the lot.
