15. Rinoa Heartilly -- Final Fantasy VIII

Whether you liked Rinoa or not, she was an integral part of Final Fantasy VIII. Her romance with Squall was what really held the plot together, and it's in this fact alone that merits Rinoa a place on this list. She was always emotionally open with her feelings and seemingly hid nothing about herself; however, deep behind those big brown eyes laid so many secrets, and it's perhaps this duality that makes her a surprisingly deep character to read into. Rinoa has never really been known as much of a fighter, but her travels in FF VIII's main party should give her enough street cred to make the Dissdia cut. Her biggest asset is not her skills but her fighting arsenal; she's got several tools at her disposal, making her a flexible warrior. First up is her boomerang weapon, which she'll obviously use for basic attacks. Second, is her pet Angelo who can counter attacks and team up with Rinoa on her ultimate move: Wishing Star. And of course, don't forget Rinoa's innate sorceress magic and "Angel Wings" mode.
