8. Red XIII -- Final Fantasy VII

Many remember Red XIII as one of Hojo's experiments in Final Fantasy VII; however, there is more to Red XIII than that. He is an intelligent being, and one of the few remaining descendants of an almost extinct wolf-like race. Though given such an impersonal nickname as "Red XIII," he does have a real name which is later discovered in the original game. This Cosmo Canyon native was also the design inspiration for FFVIII's moombas which no doubt signifies that he is worthy of being imitated. While Red XIII's weapon is a hair clip, he'll be using more than just that to fight. His claws and fangs are sharp; his fiery tail could be used not only as a physical weapon, but also as a magical offensive strike unleashing a streak of fire-based damage. His Sled Fang and Lunatic Moon limit breaks would also be fun to see transition into a game like Dissidia.
