4. Shadow -- Final Fantasy VI

Shadow was the toughest and most distantly cold character ever in a Final Fantasy. According to Edgar of FFVI, Shadow would "slit his momma's throat for a nickel." Nice guy, huh? But was he really that tough, or was it all just the word on the street? His back story, revealed through secretly placed dream sequences, betrayed that tough guy exterior; his supposed familial link to another FFVI cast member also introduced us to a softer side of the assassin. Shadow was such a mysterious character whose story was never really clearly defined that we're still looking to learn more about him. Perhaps an appearance in Dissidia could tie a few loose ends together, and give us some straight answers about this masked warrior. Sure, we might want to know more about Shadow, but ultimately we just want to make him fight. Who doesn't want to play as a ninja? Shadow's katana-slashing and shuriken-throwing abilities would fit right in with Dissidia's fast-paced action. Toss in the fact that he can call on his trusted mutt Interceptor to do his bidding, and we've got a formidable opponent here.
