Wowzers! So there is a lot more information out there on Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep than we anticipated. First we got some translated hands-on impressions gathered from various Japanese sites over at KHInsider, along with a trailer summary. Some of this information we know about already, so here are highlights of the new stuff:

- The new enemies are called Unbirths.
- Xehanort and Maleficent are both after the Princesses of Hearts
- Ven's level is the Castle of Dreams, Cinderella's world. Ven cooperates with Jaq the mouse to collect materials to make Cinderella's dress. After going through a maze and finding the necessary items, a boss fight ensues with Lucifer. No, not Lucifer the demon, but rather the cat from Cinderella.

Yeah, there's that, but I think stumbling upon a (shockingly decent) Kingdom Hearts/Silent Hill crossover fanfic a while back hasn't helped. D'x

- "Unbirths"? So, "Unbirth by INsomnia"? Nah, but really, neat name; kinda makes me think of Slaughterhouse.
- Good to hear this'll be coverings some immediate backstory (rather than introducing unnecessary things *coughGenesiscough*). Xehanort (that name is unduly arduous to say) before the split, Maleficent likely when she got started in this business, and coverage of the PoHs (looks like a modified "PoS" or "Pooh"; same difference) assures that we'll know more about Kairi's significance (aisde from being able to split Sora between a light 'Ansem' and a Nobody).
- The CAT? Needs moar Great Mouse Detective. Is superior. Anyway, if the screen I think I remember seeing is as I remember seeing it, there's no Lion-King-esque transformation going on. Still, how did a size difference occur?
