It seems a countdown has been spotted on
Sony Japan's website. While the game would ordinarily be a mystery for reasons soon to be revealed,
Eurogamer has got a pretty good guess as to what the game is and we're going to agree with them. The link to the website cites the title as "or2" which has been deduced to mean
Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida 2, a sequel to another Japanese dungeon crawler of the same name, sans the "2".
Since the first title didn't leave Japan, we don't have much faith we'll see the sequel leave the land of the rising sun either. Still, if you imported the first one, there's some good news since more is on the way. Who knows; maybe both will get some sort of domestic release in a two-for-one pack of some kind. Then again, we also believe it's possible to drive up a wall (note: do not attempt to drive up a wall).

Anyone ever tried this game? I know it's -supposed- to have that retro look and all, but still looks lame. That's why i'm asking.

i didn't import the game because i'm afraid about how much knowledge of the japanese language is required, but the demo was stellar and is easily my favorite.

It's not exactly right to call it a dungeon crawler since you play villain who builds said dungeon and micro manages a small population of monsters to get in the way of heroes who storm your lair.
It's still good fun though :)

It's a brilliant game. The problem is that there isn't enough information to know exactly what's going on or what is what. A few guides are out there on the web, esp. on GameFAQs.com, but still they're incomplete. There's a monster encyclopedia in the game which is full of Japanese text. I suppose it would be very useful if you could understand it.
I wish they release a US/EN version.

These kind of games don't sell in the U.S or Europe. People would rather buy smash 'em up games.
It's a shame really, this game would have been great. Dont get fooled by the graphics, it's perfect like that.
I'd also like carpentors story, the demo was sweet, but short.
