Way of the Samurai was originally released on PS2 back in 2002. Now, eight years later, it's getting revamped on the PSP. Set in 19th century Japan, the player takes control of a ronin that takes part in a Choose Your Own Adventure-style story, where every decision can radically alter the outcome of the story.
This port of the PS2 original will be enhanced with new Ad-Hoc multiplayer features, and will also include characters from the upcoming PS3 Way of the Samurai 3. Undoubtedly, more will be revealed about this game as time passes.

2002+8=2010
Maybe you meant six years later?
Anyway, this seems like a cool fighter. Hope it gets released outside japan.

I still own the PS2 version. I absolutely loved the atmosphere.
I just hope the PS3 sequel is better than WotS 2 was.

The original Way of the Samurai wasn't such a great game technically speaking, but I LOVED the japanese feudal era setting so I enjoyed it anyway. And I guess, "8 years later", they're gonna polish some of the rough edges... so I totally dig the idea. Bring it on!

Not to be a downer, and I could be wrong, but that screen shot looks like its from the PS1 game Bushido Blade (which was a really good game btw). If I'm wrong I blame it on hte frustration of waiting online for 3 hours last night and not getting a kojima signature. :(

nevermind, I remember now that Way of the Samurai had a multiplayer option that looked like this. Bushido Blade 2 was still a great game, I must have replayed it 100 times over. Ugh! can barely keep my eyes open.
