The limited edition Final Fantasy VII silver PSP is leaving Japan, and going to Europe, just in time for Crisis Core's release. A special bundle, which includes this engraved PSP and a copy of the PSP-exclusive action RPG, will hit European retailers on June 20th for 189.99 Euros.
Combined with a special edition version of the game, Square Enix is trying its hardest to make up for the delayed release over the Atlantic. For many jealous fans in the US, it looks like they're succeeding.

Welcome to a weak American dollar gentlemen.
189 Euros = 31,295.6647 Japanese yen
199.99 U.S. dollars = 21,407.6215 Japanese yen
8 000 Japanese yen = 74.73600 U.S. dollars
And how much you want to bet that they will all sell out.

Jesus Christ, that = £150 in the UK. I paid the equivalent of £220 ($440). I cannot believe this....
But it looks like those PSP's aren't numbered, so i suppose there's that.
But they are not limited to 77,777 pieces now.
damn!

No, it isn't. It's an old system and nothing is going to give it a big breath of life. Not even Crisis Core did that. Only Monster Hunter in Japan has any promise now.
Doesn't stop you personally from enjoying the system just don't get all happy "yey the worlds going to be better now!" over it.

You've got to be kidding me... Great for Europe, but why the heck do they get it and not us? Because of GOW? and the next US special bundle is Madden? WTF?
I've been waiting to buy a slim to replace my phat and push it to a homebrew machine/back-up. Maybe I'll just buy the new blue slim machine... Oh wait. That's only in Japan. Geezus. Grrr...

Why would they sell here? They can make much more money in Europe. They know that we'll all still buy it when they finally get around to us.

To Klepto:
Why? Because all the dev work has been done. I admit there is a benefit to releasing special packages in a tiered fashion. It generates buzz and supports title longevity. The thing is though that too often the obvious "no brainer" doesn't always happen. Madden is ridiculously popular here in the US and GOW well is pretty violent, so their market research is telling them what to bring over here, but aren't you tired by now of being led by or denied something juicy because of market research, especially when development has already DONE their job? This is the crux of my bitching. In truth, I understand that a company has to know where to direct the real money for their best revenues using limited even if vast resources like Sony. I don't have to like it though.

I'm not sure whether to get this or not... i mean, it's not going to be numbered, it wont have the silver foil packaging on the Crisis Core game and it wont have the Buster Sword.
I might just buy the English game instead...

The Truth -
what a COMPLETE hater you are.
FFVII Crisis Core sold a crazy amount, wasn't it something like 700,000 in a week including all 77,777 PSP's?
That's a heck of alot of units to move in a week for the release of one game.
You're talking out of your arse.
Monter Hunter 2 was a huge push for the PSP. The PSP is a real handheld gamers console, it doesn't get enough recognition because of fanboys and people like yourself who probably say it's good to your friends but online, spread crap where more people read it and get put off by it.
