The first Star Ocean PSP remake hasn't made it out of Japan yet, but The Second Evolution is already getting ready for its big debut in a few weeks. This remake of Star Ocean 2 features anime cutscenes and voice acting and yet another Jpoppy theme song. Catch more than four minutes of this RPG remake in this brand new trailer. Sony only prohibited straight (no new content) PS1 to PSP ports, and that's because of the PS1 emulator making them redundant. And they've even eliminated that policy (there having been a straight Harvest Moon port released last year)
Anyway, all companies had to do to beat that old rule was add some anime clips, which happened in PoPoLoCrois (from Agetech, I think) and VP:L (also from Square).

The Star Ocean series is one I've been meaning to play. Being a big fan of Valkyrie Profile, another TriAce game, and all. Maybe these remakes are a good chance to do so...

AH, greatest RPG of all time! (yes, way better than FF series.. though they do have nice gfx them ff games..) Nothing could beat the realtime fights! and as soon as this game's in english

Watched the vid yesterday,was too lazy to comment so today I am commenting lol. Good game! I have the original Star Ocean Second Story on ps1(store bought) and put it on my psp! all I can say is the story aged well but not the graphics lol. I will probably get this when it comes in english for the anime cutscenes!
