Ready at Dawn: 'our work on PSP has come to an end'
However, he leaves a remark of hope for the PSP enthusiast. As pretty as Chains of Olympus is, there's still more power waiting to be unearthed. "Even as we were finishing God of War, we found ways to further improve our tech on PSP, which we didn't have time to integrate into this game. As far as how far the hardware can be pushed, only time will tell but there's definitely room to grow there." Unfortunately, it won't be Ready at Dawn that'll be pushing the boundaries of PSP development. "I'm hoping more teams out there will up the ante and show all of us more out of the hardware."

I was actually hoping Sony would buy R@D up but doesn't seem like that'll be happening.

Ya I was hoping they'd buy R@D, too, and then chain them to psp dev kits forever.

Sony definately needs to buy RAD, we need another Daxter game and eventually a seuqel to Chains of Olympus. They are by far one of the best if not thee best developers for the PSP. It's sad to see such great devs leave the PSP scene :-( .

I think the rumor is there next game is a PS3 game. But I wish they would make at least one more GOW game seeing as RAD sais they had a lot more ideas for the GOW game but had to cut them out because of time.
I kind of wish the game would have been delayed so the other stuff could have been in the game. But I guess I will still buy this.

Arrg, that doesn't make any sense! They've got these nicely tailored development tools crafted for PSP, then they just stop making PSP games. I hope they at least sell the tools they developed in the process.

If Sony doesn't buy RAD, they should sign them on as a 2nd party developer, such as Insomniac.

The whole news story is based around this one sentence:
"Our work on the PSP has come to an end," he says.
I "like" how you conveniently ignore the sentence RIGHT AFTER that one:
"But who knows, we might come back to it in the future if the right opportunity arises."
From the interview, sounds like RAD wants to create original IPs for themselves, so they might do a PSP version of those. Probably just wouldn't be PSP exclusive.
But this kind of thinking just gets in the way of all the fanboy moaning at how GoW CoO 2-3 aren't shipping next week. So carry on with that.
Maybe people should try reading the source links.

If that translates to starting their very own franchise on another platform, I'm all for it. They've got the talent, I'd love to see what they can turn out. 360, PS3, Wii, handhelds, whatever!
