The hack and slash is about the Serpent King Orochi who somehow manages to use his powers to alter time and space, thereby fusing the worlds of Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. Warriors from Ancient China and Feudal Japan will have to team up together to fight this supernatural menace.

I always hear people complain about these games and the complaints seem valid yet they sell well and I keep coming back to them. Guilty pleasure for the martial arts enthusiasts or zen-like hack & slash? I've pre-ordered :)

People complain because Musuo games are very formulaic; if you're played one, the rest are basically the same. They're basically button mashers against giant hoards of useless enemies. If you like that, you'll likely love this game. Unfortunately, many reviewers take off points because "this has been done before." It's the same reason why Lost Odyssey got slammed by some reviewers. It lost points for being an old-school JRPG, despite the fact it was designed to be that way. I'll at least look into this game, but DW 6 will more likely get my money.

For a PSP game this one will be doing something new: Co-Op. I really hated the fact that Dynastry Warriors and DW Vol 2. lacked such a feature. I'll give it consideration, but I need some reviews first.
