You can always rely on anime games to come out with Madden-style annual updates. Namco Bandai and CyberConnect 2 have announced Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Herores 2: The Phantom Fortress for PSP this June. The fighter will feature twenty characters from the popular series. According to IGN, "Phantom Fortress' story mode will have Naruto and his pals battling through a flying fortress that has descended on Hidden Leaf Village." There will also be more than just fights: there will be quizzes and mini-games.
Just like the previous iteration of the franchise, the game will take advantage of ad-hoc multiplayer (no infrastructure, we're sad to report). Game Sharing returns -- a huge plus of the original. Stay tuned for more.

yeah the first one was ok.... but the Japanese version was better cause it had more characters, and it had Naruto's Rasengan, also it had Sasuke's Uchiha Blue shirt costume, and the specials were edited in the US version

In fact, didn't the FIRST japanese Naruto game have that tower thing and the minigames? So I guess this is gonna be like, the REAL localization of Narultimate Portable.
At least it looks like this one has an actual plot goin on.

sounds like an interesting game. i like fighting games, but i've never played one based off an anime. if it's anything like tekken, i know i'll like it.
i also second #2, Alien's comment about a PSP soulcalibur game. that would roxorz my soxorz.

everything is the same except, certain specials and the extra characters which are Sarutobi Sandaime, Shizune(Tsunades buddy with short black hair and pet pig), and Kabuto, oh and OTK Naruto and C2 make appearances but only in the specials and they will (i think) change the Narutos Sexy Jutsu, cuz in the US version his Sexy Jutsu is censored so that instead of doing the Sexy Jutsu he farts, which was funny but got useless
