The price point for
Patapon has just been announced over at the
PlayStation.Blog and the news is darn good. The upcoming Sony-developed rhythm/RTS title is getting released at the ridiculously low price of $19.99 when it hits the stores next month. While this is normally the price of one of their Greatest Hits titles, Sony was worried that the unique and odd-ball nature of
Patapon may result in it getting lost amongst the other
big upcoming PSP titles.
If our
hands-on report hasn't gotten you excited about
Patapon yet, hopefully this new development will pique your curiosity. It is seriously one of the most bizarre and entertaining experiences on the PSP yet, and definitely should not be missed. Pon Pon Pata Pon!

Great! Now will someone tell Amazon? The preorder price over there is still $40. They have the Pre-order Price Guarantee, but I don't want to order until I'm positive that Amazon will honor this $20 thing.

I'll certainly be buying this game though, even if we have to pay double that of the US!

I don't know where in the world you are LM2007, but if it's the UK you can guarantee that a demo will be available really soon on the official Playstation PSP Store in Japan and America, and like usual the UK store will be completely neglected and ignored by Sony...
The UK version hasn't been updated for ages, has half the PS1 games that Japan/America has, and still hasn't got Ape Quest!
