Jeanne D'Arc is better than all of the other nominees imo. well i've never played puzzle quest before, but i imagine that JDA is better...

I would agree that Jd'A is better than the rest of the nominees, but I think Zelda has such strong name recognition and history on handhelds, it will be tough to beat.

How the hell did Phantom Hourglass get nominated? It's a horrible game.

It controls like using handwriting recognition from a Newton. It constantly does false negatives/positives resulting in many accidental sword slashes and falling off edges. Pulling off the somersault is a pain in the ass. You can't use items and move at the same time. The map drawing BS should have been automatic like every Zelda game before it

Everything Miyamoto apologized for in Wind Waker is back.

And you have to complete the first dungeon a minimum of 6 times. Repitition in games is meant as PUNISHMENT. And if you don't complete the dungeon fast enough, you're PUNISHED with doing it again. Upon learning of this BS, I gave up playing the game. There are just too many annoyances.

This game was nominated for it's name alone.

I agree with everyone here. Level 5 deserves this, since they had gotten no other awards for it. Jeanne was an incredible game and the story isn't half as cheesy and predictable as one would expect. I would really love it if JDA happened to win. (and perhaps it would provide Level5 incentive to make a PSP Dark Cloud)

Extinction, sorry, but you're probably the only person I've heard say that. I personally adored the game, though it was definitely the easiest Zelda I've ever played. Of those games, though...both JDA and Ratchet are phenomenal, but I never really could get into Puzzle Quest, though I've heard all the hype around it. It's turning into another of those games that you can play on everything but your shoe.

After playing all of 2007's GOTY Candidates on PC, Consoles, and Handhelds, Jeanne D'arc is still one of my favourite games of 2007, it deserves way more respect than it's been getting.

Damn, must have been more of a slow year than i thought, ratchet and clank size matters is garbage, the levels were lame, story was even worse, and the controls were shocking.

The only PSP game I've played thus far is Size Matters so that gets my vote, naturally. However, if I did play other titles I think R&C would get my vote; this game is just so fun to play.

I got spanked in multiplayer, so I quickly retired that.

im a huge ratchet and clank fan, but this psp version is a dud, the controls are lame, the psp controls lack the number of buttons needed.

and still doesnt change the fact the story was uber lame, especially the stupid dream thing, and the weapons, the whole game was bad, nothing good about it at all.

Meh, Logan's Shadow should have been nominated and should win. The game is purely amazing for a handheld.

I never went for those tactics type games (with the big-heads, little bodies on a checker board), but Jeanne D'Arc was awesome. Loved the story, characters, effects and everything.
R&C was exceptionally well done, but I wasn't "called" to it like I was with Jeanne.
The Syphon Filter series is incredible too--maybe LS was released past some cutoff?
