Japan is getting two hotly-anticipated PSP games soon. First is the rhythm + cuteness + war game, Patapon. This game has you controlling a rather vicious group of adorable cuddly things on their conquest to destroy everything in their sight. Of course, you do so with the power of music.
Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikda is a RPG where you try to stop potential heroes with your minion horde. This reverse-dungeon crawler features some old school graphics, but maybe that's part of its charm.

The demo of Yuusha was fun and quirky.
Patapon looks freaking awesome. I REALLY want to play it. The next LocoRoco in my opinion.

Yuusha looks like dig dug. But that's all.
You are the villian and you have a little tool that you use to dig tunnels in the mines. As you dig, you place your minions in the paths you create.
Then, you have to hide yourself(the villian avatar) in the maze you've created with your digging tool.
Heroes enter the dungeon you've created and fight your minions in an attempt to find and defeat you. If you make your maze complex enough, the monsters will be able to kill the heroes before they find you.
If you don't, the heroes will probably capture you.
There's leveling up and more to it but that's the basics.

Both look rather interesting. Even though Dungeon Siege is completely eating up any PSP time I have.
