Many readers have been sending us tips, saying the
God of War demo discs simply have not arrived in their inbox. A representative from SCEA confirmed with PSP Fanboy that the discs were shipped out the week of September 24th.
Everyone that signed up for the demo should have received it by now. We'd like to know the truth.
DO NOT VOTE IN THIS POLL IF YOU DID NOT SIGN UP FOR THE DEMO DISC FROM THE OFFICIAL GOD OF WAR WEBSITE IN THE SUMMER. These results, and your comments, will be sent to Sony so that we can investigate what's really going on. Your help is much appreciated!

No demo here either. I signed up after receiving the first email invitation and got the "congratulations" response email. I also signed up for the Jeanne D'Arc demo, but haven't received it either. I did get the Hot Shots Tennis demo for PS2 in a timely manner, so I assume I'm on the correct list. What gives?

Mine showed up today, along with my friends (one to his house, one to mine).
It's very well done. An outer envelope, an inner one with the UMD. A Discount coupon for Best Buy and the "collectors item" which is a charm on a string (I guess for the corner of the PSP).
Very well done. Worth the wait!

GOD OF WAR(R): CHAINS OF OLYMPUS
MORE INSIDER INFO AND A BIG THANK-YOU.
As you dig into your God of War(R): Chains of Olympus Special Edition demo (arriving soon if it hasn't already), enjoy one more behind-the-scenes tidbit: Game Composer Gerard Marino's musings on creating an epic soundtrack. Also, as a special thank-you to the gamers, download (or just listen to) a free MP3 of some Chains of Olympus music. Read on--and listen up!
DOWNLOAD “BATTLE OF ATTICA”
LISTEN TO “BATTLE OF ATTICA”
“Battle of Attica” is the first cue I wrote for Chains of Olympus. It called for a revisit to the classic God of War combat music aesthetic, and was the perfect vehicle to transport my headspace back into the darkness. I first viewed some concept art of the scenes, characters, and creatures that Kratos would be filleting to this music, and then set to work on writing a hooky, rhythmic motif for the strings, settling on the Dat DEEdah dump, DAT dump! that opens the piece.
Soaring over this ostinato is a wild, ethnic wind solo from our Persian instrumentalist, Nejad. That crazy-sounding instrument is actually the plastic handle of a feather duster! Of course, I couldn't kick off a new GOW game score without some reference to the two principal themes from the series. The main theme is set up and stated grandly around :54, immediately followed by the Kratos Theme, providing an ostinato for another ripping duster solo from Nejad.
Remember that this track is designed to compel the listener to bring total destruction to all things. As such, it impairs your ability to drive a car anywhere near the speed limit, or to operate machinery without willfully dismembering bystanders. Please enjoy this music responsibly.
--Gerard K. Marino, Composer
Once again, I want to thank everyone for signing up for the Special Edition demo. The whole team at Ready at Dawn put a lot of hard work into this demo, and we hope you'll have as much fun playing it as we had making it. I also hope you enjoyed the exclusive info we sent your way. For now, everyone at RAD is hard at work finishing what looks to become another great game in the God of War saga. Enjoy the demo and we look forward to bringing you the full game next year!

I'm in New Jersey, got mine today, just finished it in fact (and I never got any confirmation/teaser emails either-- probably because I neglected to click the "let Sony email me" button in my PSU profile, heh), so it looks like Sony hasn't totally dropped the ball. Very nice packaging as has been noted, though. Now, to see if my Jeanne D'Arc demo ever comes... nevermind that I went ahead and got it about a week after it came out anyway... ;)

So happy to read that i am not alone. why tell everyone they will get a FREE disc send continual emails aobut how they can't wait for us to play their new game and then never send us the damned things. and then have the balls to say that everyone who signed up "should have recieved the disc by now". that's just poor customer service. They created the demand with no supply...

I also didn't receive the Jeanne 'de Arc Demo nor did I receive the Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters demos I signed up for.
WTF, Sony, WTF.
As far as God of War goes, I signed up about 5 minutes after the site went live so I should have been fairly high on the list.
