It was one of the first PSP games to ever be shown. Then, it was canceled. Then, it was resurrected. Then, it mysterious disappeared, hidden away under the shadow of the colossal Gran Turismo 5. Finally, things look a bit brighter for mobile racing fans. "We are working on the PSP version, and we will get around to it eventually," GT producer Yamauchi told GamePro.
The plan is to finish the game right after the release of Gran Turismo 5 next year. Although we'd love to believe you, Yamauchi, we're going to place some skepticism on your statement. Place your bets now to see how many times this game will get canceled, and uncanceled in the coming months.

Well that at least seems like the most plausible time for them. I'd imagine immediately after the release of a gran turismo is when they would have the most free time to devote to these sorts of side projects. Similar to how we got Tourist trophy soon after GT4. I am inclined to believe them this time, based on it not being in conflict with the major projects. Besides, a PSP GT game wont take such a huge number of people to make. It will be like making a gran turismo 2.5.

i wish they'd just port over GT1 or GT2.. i don't want to bother having to homebrew my PSP to get Gran Turismo.

Well, Crisis Core was vaporware for the longest time, too. I trust them this time.

It sucks that it has taken this long but it makes sense. The PS3 version is much more important at this point and Polyphony has always taken forever to finish projects.

The entire GT series has been brilliant in my opinion, and I'm thrilled the mobile version hasn't been scraped (just yet). I'm hoping they'll design something where the PSP game will reflect your car, stats, etc. that you have in GT5... Gran Turismo 5 Remote Play anyone?

This game is one of the reasons I bought a PSP at launch. I hope it isn't a GT 1 or GT 2 port. I already have those on my PSP.

yeah right.. i also bought a psp for the sole purpose of playing gt and a decent rpg.. i haven't seen either
gt lost the chance to make a grand appearence like they wanted, and i really doubt they will ever do it unless when some psp2 comes out..
both a decent gt and a decent oblivion would make ppl buy a console to play them but we're not getting neither..

Sakarin, if you haven't found a "decent" RPG on the PSP then I think you need to invest in some Lasik surgery.

well im sorry but i really didn't..
can you maybe point me out?
i want something on the fields of zelda / golden sun (i already have a gba and those games) OR the fields of diablo and dungeon siege (i tried it on my friends psp and had to agree with the reviews. loading times for maps and menus doesn't make sense)
im going to try gurumin out when it's avaliable in portugal but i have the feeling that's not going to be it.. and again on the oblivion type of game there aren't really any alternatives that i know of (monster hunter maybe but it's too confusing for now)

Would you actually believe anything Sony says??? GT Mobile will never see the light of day. Before they finish GT Mobile it will be time to begin work on GT 6.

Common , the PSP would really need this ... think about this lineup : GoW : CoO , MHF2G , KH : BBS , FF : Dissidia , GT$ Portable ... now this would be a killer lineup :D
