If there's one thing that makes anything cooler, it's lasers. califrag from QJ has developed a proof of concept (seen above) that allows you to point a laser at the PSP screen and have the on-screen cursor follow your movement. Although it requires extra hardware, such as the PSP camera, the potential is really exciting: imagine a light gun game for your PSP, a painting application, or some DS-styled "pointing games." Once again, the homebrew community has thought up something truly innovative and surprising.

"allows you to point a laser at the PSP screen"
Umm, it looks like he's pointing a laser at the wall which the PSP camera is pointed at. It's not detecting a laser pointed at the PSP but detecting a laser dot in the image the camera is picking up.

Larz, he is pointing it at the PSP's screen, proven at 00:37-00:35(or eleven seconds into the video to 14 seconds of the video). In that time window you can clearly see the reflection off of the PSP's screen showing him angling the laser at the screen.

@1 yea but it's still useful since they have been able to put DS games on PSP without a stylus most are useless. if you could get it to not display what the camera is seeing but it still works the same way you'd have a stylus of some sort. And think of the camera as a Wii bar

@3 - He's pointing it at the wall. The proof is that you don't see the red laser on the black part of the PSP when he goes off screen.
Besides that, how would aiming it on the PSP screen even work? The camera is clearly pointed at the wall so there is no way that it could pick up the red dot if the laser was being aimed at the PSP screen.
