Game.uk.com have sent out an email today stating that the PSP Slim and Lite is now available for pre-order. Available on the 14th of September, the new PSP will sell for £130. Strangely, there is only one choice for pre-order currently and it appears to be Piano Black, despite our promised rainbow of release-day colours. No worries there though, we doubt there'll be a shortage of PSP Slim and Lites any time soon, so pre-ordering would be pointless anyway.
Still, it's exciting to see that the redesign will be out very shortly. Even if America beats us Europeans to the punch again by getting the Daxter pack released yesterday. At least we have more colours.

It's on Play.com, Amazon.co.uk, and many others too. And strangely all are only listing "Piano Black".
Also strange (but not uncommon) the UK's pricetag is £15 more than the rest of Europe (€169 is about £115).

I really want to know why Sony didn't give it an official name, other than PSP-2000. I wouldn't mind it being the PSP Slim. Slim and lite is just too long. It seems like people were just coming up with names for the thing.
If I missed something on the official name of it please give me a link to an official release.

You know what pisses me off? The fact that we pay 40-60 pounds more than Japan and the US.
AND we don't even get a component cable OR ANYTHING extra for that matter.
I'm starting to hate Sony for ditching us and getting us ripped off all the time.
